Yefim Bronfman makes Spivey Hall debut with "Clara"
Yefim Bronfman has chosen to perform his piano recital this afternoon on Spivey Hall's new Hamburg Steinway, "Clara." His program has changed a bit from the time we first published it in our 2011-2012 Concert Series book: it opens with Haydn's Sonata in C major, Hob. XVI/50, followed by the towering Sonata No. 3 in F minor by Brahms, and closes with Prokofiev's Sonata No. 8. Tickets are still available at the Spivey Hall Box Office, (678) 466-4200, which opens at 2 PM prior to the 3 PM recital. Those interested in hearing "Clara" put through her paces by a world-class pianist (well-known to Atlanta Symphony audiences) in a program of varying styles won't want to miss it.
